Get on a Festival Bill
The 2024 Tramlines Festival in Sheffield is presenting a unique opportunity for emerging musicians to showcase their talent. Interested artists are invited to submit their music via a specified link, with selected finalists securing a compensated performance slot at the Hillsborough Park festival. The deadline for applications is set for March 10, with the top act also earning the chance to appear at three additional UK music festivals.
A panel of music industry professionals, including representatives from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, will evaluate the submissions. The grand prize winner is set to perform at the Truck Festival in Oxfordshire, Y Not Festival in Derbyshire, and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. Additionally, the winner will receive a £500 award for music studio recording expenses.
Scheduled for July 26-28, the 2024 Tramlines Festival anticipates a crowd of 40,000 attendees each day, continuing the momentum from last year's sold-out event. The 2023 competition was won by Harri Larkin, a Sheffield-based indie band. The group's lead, Harri Tape, expressed that winning the Tramlines competition significantly propelled their career both within and beyond Sheffield, noting that headlining a stage at Tramlines has been a significant advantage in pursuing further gigs.
