Now for something completely different from the insane Autoimmune, strap in people this is one hell of a ride.
Up first is “Oh Fuck” which chugs and grinds along perfectly. The musicianship here is extremely impressive and the songwriting may be a little tongue in cheek but it really works so well. It’s zany but in the best possible way. It’s not what you normally expect from a rock-based act but this delivers something new, catchy and ultimately entertaining. It is worth a listen just for the breakdown and subsequent build-up alone – it's insane, intense and individual!
“Winston” starts off like a new wave song – it’s chirpy, fun and bounces along. It is playful and by chorus two you will definitely be chanting “Winston”. The song can’t help but make you smile and certainly cheered our offices up on this rainy day!
Just when you think you know Autoimmune they pull “End of Chocolate” out of the bag. Is it a homage to the 80’s electro movement? Is it a social commentary? Is it an advert for Cadbury’s? Who knows but it shows a more “pondering” side to the band with some impressive songwriting on display!
