Next up we have a couple of tracks from dark metallers hailing from the depths of South America, the epic; Mechanical Madness
Their new single “Devil Sense” is an epic, driven offering which is extremely varied. The song draws on the epic keys and pounding drums of their peers but the varied vocal – we changes from soaring to guttural seamlessly – is where the bands sound is truly honed. The vocals roar and swirl throughout the song which keeps you interested and before you know it the song is fading out. This is a well-written track that has so much variety built into it that it is able to broach a number of styles and appeal to a wider metal audience.
“Resurrect” is another pounding track that utilises the vocals to add another layer of depth and texture to the band’s sound. The jiggered riff is one of the best we have heard for a long time This time the drummer takes centre stage (the drum sound on this recording is incredible) and drives the song with precision and impressive skill – the “double-kick” section is intense and just a perfect example of how metal should be. Another great track.
For fans of: Dimmu Borgir, In Flames and heart-felt aggressive metal
