Next Up we have some epic distorted rock from We Three Kings.
New Single “Buried Alive” roll grunge, punk and good old-fashioned rock into a 3 minute blitz. The guitars and drums smack you in the face straight away before the whole song crashes into life. The dual vocals add something to this track which makes it even more vital. This would make one of the best set openers we have heard in a very long time. It’s a straight forward rock song with some great ideas and delivered with awesome energy. Go listen to it right now!
Up next is their previous single “Gold Digger”. This adds a new level of sleaze to the band coming across like a modern-day Stooges. The lyrics are spat out and effortlessly cools. The track blazes along, then staggers, then races off again. The chanted refrain is one that we simply cannot get out of our heads here. This is rock music that can appeal to everyone whilst not being commercial. We Three Kings have a unique sound and style which is rare in modern music but they have achieved it.
We loved the first 2 tracks so much we delved a little deeper and came across the epic “The Edge of Death”. This song has swagger, rebellion and sway sewn into it’s DNA. The vocal soars whilst the rhythm section grind along. It has a certain pop edge but from a very rock stand point. These guy must kill live if they can reproduce just 5% of the passion and eruption heard on this track.
